Profil of the Organisation
The Zurich University of Teacher Education (PH Zurich), with approximately 2600 students and more than 6000 continuing professional development participants a year, is one of Switzerland’s largest teacher education institutions and a leading centre of expertise for schools, teachers and educational authorities.

The university’s approximately 700 employees generate and transform knowledge for schools as well as for public and private sector organisations. Due especially to the high quality of its research, the PH Zurich is involved in various national and international networks. The services of the PH Zurich include education, training, research and additional services such as consulting and international development projects.

At the PH Zurich, two different groups are working in the area of addiction prevention: on the one hand the “Research Centre Inclusion and Health in Schools”, and on the other hand the “Addiction Prevention Centre for Elementary Education” with an emphasis on setting-related interventions.

Responsibility for what region?
The PH Zürich focuses on addiction prevention in the Canton of Zurich. We attach particular importance on close cooperation and networking with other actors in the field of addiction prevention and health promotion (federal offices, universities, private institutions).
